It's not very common but I have seen it happen and the tooth might have jambed up the gears not allowing you to shift electric or manual.Put it back on and it wouldn't shift at all. Took it back off, and made sure the transmission would shift using the 8mm stub sticking out of the front of the engine (where the emergency shifter goes). It would shift 1-5 and back down with a small wrench.

It doesnt have the friction modifiers that regular car oils have that cause clutch slippage.
